Choosing building materials for your house
The right materials are chosen for performance, durability and lifetime cost.
Masonry
Concrete block, Porotherm brick or Ytong aerated concrete: the choice depends on insulation target and budget. Vicat Performat cement in 25 kg bags has a public price of €15.89 incl. VAT.
Insulation
Isover GR32 120 mm glass wool gives a thermal resistance of R = 3.75, at a public price of €16.84/m² incl. VAT, noted on 7 November 2026.
Plasterboard
Placo BA13 board is the standard for partitions and linings, at a public price of €4.49/m² incl. VAT (board only).
Electrical
The NF C 15-100 standard sets sizes: 1.5 mm² for lighting, 2.5 mm² for sockets, 6 mm² for the hob. Our plans show each circuit in colour with its brand (Nexans, Legrand).
Heating
An Atlantic Alféa Extensa 6 kW air-to-water heat pump has a public price of €6,687 incl. VAT (equipment only); it fits RE2020 requirements well.
